
Caracas, Feb 3 – Acting President Delcy Rodríguez met today in Caracas with the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires for the Venezuela Affairs Unit, Laura Dogu.
The Minister of Communication and Information, Miguel Ángel Pérez Pirela, reported via Telegram that the meeting took place at the Miraflores Palace, the seat of government.
He explained that the meeting was held “within the framework of the working agenda between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the United States of America.”
Rodríguez was accompanied by the President of the National Assembly (Parliament), Jorge Rodríguez, Foreign Minister Yván Gil, and Venezuelan diplomat Félix Plasencia, the Presidency detailed.
The U.S. diplomat arrived in Venezuela last Saturday. Her arrival falls within the working agenda between both governments and is aimed at “setting a roadmap for work on matters of bilateral interest,” Gil stated at the time.
It also serves to “address and resolve existing differences through diplomatic dialogue and based on mutual respect and International Law,” he added.
On social media, Dogu wrote: “I have just arrived in Venezuela. My team and I are ready to work.” (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
