
Havana, Feb 11 - The Telecommunications Company of Cuba, Etecsa, and the Ministry of Communications celebrated this Tuesday on their social media the 11th anniversary of the Transfermóvil application, created on February 10, 2015 as an electronic payment gateway for the population.
Transfermóvil consolidated its leadership in the digital sector by registering more than five million 720 thousand users and more than 130 million monthly transactions, according to official data released on the Cuban Television Midday News.
The platform obtained a rating of 4.79 out of five in user experience and has a mobile wallet that exceeds 930 thousand clients, in addition to more than 240 thousand contracted merchants.
The service recently incorporated a telephone assistance line through the number 80088888, with the purpose of strengthening customer service.
Mayra ArevichMarín, Minister of Communications, reaffirmed on the Mesa Redonda program her agency's commitment to maintaining vital communication services, promoting the responsible use of technologies, and contributing to energy savings, even amid current difficulties.
