Cuba remembers Commander Juan Almeida on his birth anniversary

Havana, February 17 - Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero today recalled Commander Juan Almeida Bosque on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of his birth on the social network X.

Almeida, assaultant of the Moncada, Granma expeditionary, founding leader of the Third Front, who fulfilled every task of the Revolution, as Raúl said, with proverbial loyalty. Faithful to his legacy, Cuba does not give up, he wrote.

For his part, the Organization Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales, alluded to the date and reaffirmed that we are accompanied by the example of his fruitful life dedicated to the Revolution and his Fidel Castro-inspired conviction that "Here, no one surrenders!"

Juan Almeida Bosque was a Commander of the Revolution, member of the Political Bureau and Vice President of the Council of State. For his many merits he received multiple national and international decorations and orders, among which the title of Hero of the Republic of Cuba and the Order Máximo Gómez stand out.
