Havana, February 17 - Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, today described the U.S. measures adopted last January 29 as a major challenge to all states.
On the social network X, he emphasized that the imperialist decision was taken under the fallacy of an alleged threat to national security and consists of threatening punitive tariffs against countries that export fuel to Cuba.
It amounts to limiting, with absurd pretexts, the sovereign prerogative of each country when determining whether it exports and to which destination it exports its national heritage products, he wrote.
He also posed key questions such as: Who can determine the limit of that power which, through the aggression against Cuba, the United States is now arrogating to itself?
Likewise, he stressed that what is currently based on an energy war could become punishment for exports of any other good from any market that competes with the U.S. market. (Text and photo: PL)
