Camagüey, Feb 19.- At the Comandante René Vallejo Ortiz Provincial Teaching Psychiatric Hospital in Camagüey, solar energy is beginning to support the vitality of medical services. In an effort to strengthen the health sector amidst the current electro-energy conditions, a group of outstanding workers from the staff has received photovoltaic modules.
The installation of these systems, with capacities of 800 and 1200 watts and including batteries, was carried out by the Corporation for the Production and Export of Electronic Technology (Copextel), which is in charge of the commercialization, assembly, and warranty of the equipment.
Furthermore, this center has benefited from a system of solar panels installed in the emergency service, which guarantees greater stability in patient care and offers better protection for workers.
These initiatives are part of the national and health sector strategies to maintain the operability of healthcare units. With collective effort and innovative solutions, the country continues to advance towards creating a more sustainable future for Cuba and in defense of life.
