Delcyreiterates call to build a future of harmony in Venezuela

Caracas, Feb 24 - Venezuela's President in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, today reiterated her call to all political sectors of the country to build a future of harmony and hope.

In a message published on her Telegram account, the leader alluded to the dialogue held the previous day at the Miraflores Palace, seat of government, with relatives of direct victims of the political violence that left numerous victims in the last two decades.

"Together with victims of political violence in Venezuela we talked about losses, pain and hope," the president wrote on the social network.

She noted that they made progress in healing those wounds, combating hatred and strengthening unity.

Rodríguez stressed that the Amnesty Law and the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace "seek coexistence, justice and healing."

"I call on all political sectors to actively join, to build together a future of harmony and hope for all Venezuela," she insisted.

In the audiovisual accompanying the message, the president in charge asserted that forgiveness is "detachment from oneself, from particular and personal pain."

I thought that the first thing to be cured is hatred and there is a human group, of diverse people who are in the Program for Democratic Coexistence, to see how we heal hatred, she stated.

"I ask you to join the Program actively," the president requested of those present, including mothers who lost their children during the so-called guarimbas of the years 2013, 2014 and 2017.

She commented that in addition to this instrument there is the Special Commission for the execution and application of the Amnesty Law and also the Commission for the Judicial Revolution, "because justice must be for everyone."

The president in charge said she is aware of some sectors that "are not reading correctly what is happening in the country" and are measuring it from the political-party defeat.

She denounced that the extremist right wing based in Europe and the United States "already have plans and, in due time, I will show them," she added.

On January 3, she affirmed, Venezuela lost, there was no winner in this country, she stressed.

She called for the Venezuelan people to say "what we have to do because enough is enough!", she noted.

Rodríguez made it clear that it will be diplomacy that resolves the "geopolitical divergences with imperial powers of the world" and economic-commercial cooperation where "we will derive the great riches and material potentialities that our country has."

We will do it with the most important thing: the spiritual wealth of the people of Venezuela, she emphasized. (Source: Prensa Latina)
