
Camagüey, March 5.- The Electric Company of the province of Camagüey reported that 16.9 megawatts (MW) are being supplied in the province of Camagüey, as part of the recovery actions for the electrical service, following the collapse of the National Electroenergetic System, at midday this Wednesday, where attention is being given to prioritized circuits, including those of hospitals and other vital services.
According to what the institution published on its official Telegram channel, circuits 2024, in the municipality of Guáimaro, and 3162, in Nuevitas, which supply the hospitals of both respective demarcations, are already receiving this important service.
Meanwhile, in the city of Camagüey, circuits Y-281, which supplies the Provincial Hospital, the Maternity Hospital, and the Oncology Hospital, have power.
Similarly, service was restored to circuit Y-450, which provides electricity to the AmaliaSimoni Clinical Surgical Hospital in the provincial capital city.
At the close of this information, the official platform confirmed the restoration of service on circuit Y-123, which serves the Military Hospital and the Pediatric Hospital.
According to the conditions and the progress of the restoration work on the National Electrical System, more circuits in the Camagüey province will continue to be energized, the entity emphasizes on the aforementioned digital channel.
Engineer Jorge Luis MaceiraEsteva, General Director of the 10 de Octubre Thermoelectric Power Plant in Nuevitas, in a telephone communication with the Cuban News Agency, specified that for the moment they will not be able to start unit six of the plant, as they are undertaking some maintenance tasks, which are focused on washing the Regenerative Air Heaters, fixing gaskets, and other repair work to correct leaks in the boiler.
