
Havana, March 6 - The station network of the Cuban National Seismological Service has registered an earthquake reported as perceptible at 4:56 am local time, located at coordinates 19.85 degrees north latitude and 75.42 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 30.0 km and with a magnitude of 5.3, situated 30 km southeast of Imías, Guantánamo Province.
According to the official note from CENAIS, reports of perceptibility have been received so far from the provinces of Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba. (Text and photo: Granma Digital)
