Iran: We are not seeking a ceasefire, the aggressors must be struck

Moscow, Mar 10.- The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad BaqerQalibaf, stated that Tehran is not seeking a ceasefire and will respond to any aggression until those responsible learn their lesson.

"Categorically, we are not seeking a ceasefire. We believe that the aggressors must be struck so that they learn their lesson and do not think again about attacking dear Iran," he wrote this Monday on his social media.

The official added that Israel maintains a policy he described as a cycle of "war, negotiation, ceasefire, and then war again." "We will break this cycle," Qalibaf asserted.

Israel and the United States launched a joint attack against Iran in the early hours of Saturday, February 28, with the declared objective of "eliminating the threats" from the Islamic Republic.

The attacks claimed the life of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior military officials. Following this, Mojtaba Khamenei, 56, was elected as his successor.

In response to the offensive, Tehran reacted with several waves of ballistic missiles and drones towards Israel and against US bases in Middle Eastern countries.

According to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the country executed more than 30 waves of attacks against at least 27 military bases in the Middle East where US troops are deployed, as well as against Israeli military installations in Tel Aviv and other parts of the Hebrew state.
