Camagüey, Jun 12.- "I have no doubt that the work of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) contributes to the formation of the youth of the present and the future, said the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and its first secretary in the province Federico Hernández Hernández, by presiding over the assembly prior to the organization’s fourth congress.
By the way, the party leader recognized, together with the governor of Camagüey Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia, the outgoing president of the Agramotinian branch of the AHS, Ihordan Torres Hernández, for his work in the defense and promotion of young art.
For his part, Rafael González Muñoz, national president of that membership, called to turn the meeting into a space to discuss daily work and projections for the new phase of work.
In that sense Gretel Díaz Montalvo, head of the Literature, Criticism and Research section of the AHS, referred to the growth of the section with the incorporation of new members, however, she called for the joint support of all cultural institutions in the territory for the creation of mechanisms that contribute to vocational formation.
Speaking at the meeting Liannis Montalván Salazar, head of the Visual Arts section, considered the Vincentina de la Torre Art Academy as a power for the integration of new members and urged to create solutions that enrich this section, taking into account the important visual arts events taking place in the Principality.
Reinaldo Echemendía Estrada, director of the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey and honorary member of the AHS, urged the creation of a project to rescue national identity in order to combat the cultural colonization that is being imposed in the country.
In summing up the assembly, Walter Simón Noris, member of the Provincial Bureau of the PCC, considered that new challenges and challenges are imposed before the complex scenario that the nation faces, from the continuous siege of the artists, so a sense of cultural identity and autochthony must be cultivated in the new generations.
During the day membership card to new integrants of the organization were delivered, in addition to several awards to institutions and cultural centers that support in a sustained way the fulfillment of every dream and goal of young artists from Camagüey.
At the end of the appointment was constituted the new presidency, in which he was elected as president, José Xavier Guerra Carmenates, while Heidy Almarales Sierra and Gildo Borrell Cáceres, will serve as vice president and head of sections, respectively.
Similarly, the delegation that will represent the province in the IV Congress of the AHS will be composed of Yanetsy de la Rosa, Heidy Almarales Sierra, José Xavier Guerra Carmenates, Yusaris Benito Deliano, Gretel Díaz Montalvo and Liannis Montalvan Salazar.
