Havana, Oct 30.- The Council of Ministers of Cuba approved a new portfolio of foreign investment opportunities in the country, which has proposed increasing the number of projects aimed at supplying the domestic market with essential products and supplies for the national industry.
This was highlighted by Ana Teresita González Fraga, first vice minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, in the most recent meeting of the highest executive and administrative body of Cuba, and specified that this update includes 729 projects.
According to the Presidency's website, in the session led by Manuel Marrero, prime minister, the deputy minister stated that work was done to achieve an increase in investments in sectors such as food production, industry, mining and transportation and the logistics.
González Fraga also highlighted innovative aspects such as the presentation of 139 projects by local governments and 38 are new opportunities that will be sponsored by them.
As usual, the new portfolio of opportunities will be announced at the Foreign Investment Forum that will take place within the framework of the Havana International Fair (Fihav), to be held from November 6 to 11 at Expocuba. (ACN) (Photo: Revolución Studies)
