Cuba will celebrate the International Convention on the Environment

Havana, June 30 – The XV International Convention on Environment and Development will be held from July 1 to 5 at the Havana Convention Palace, with the expected participation of professionals from a dozen countries.

According to the organizers, nearly 700 Cuban specialists and more than 70 foreigners from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States, Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, and Suriname will attend.

The event is convened by the Environment Agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, in conjunction with other entities and organizations.

Committed to the sustainability of the planet, under the slogan "More awareness for a healthy and balanced environment" and with in-person and online modalities, researchers, authorities, educators, specialists, managers, entrepreneurs, professionals, producers, and representatives related to the sector will gather here.

Within the major event, the 15th Congress of Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, the XIV Congress of Protected Areas, the XII Congress of Environmental Management, and the X Congress on Ecosystem and Biodiversity Management will be held.

Also, the IX Congress on Climate Change, the VII Congress on Politics, Justice, and Environmental Law, the III Congress on Geospatial Sciences and Disaster Risk, and the VI Colloquium on Transport and the Environment.

In addition, the II International Meeting of Foundations and Civil Society Organizations, United for the Climate, the Symposium "Youth of the World for the Development of a Healthy and Inclusive Environment," and a Panel on Women in Science and the Environment.
