Havana, Nov 7.- The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, ratified his country's will and decision to strengthen and expand economic and commercial relations with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
In dialogue with the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Information Technology of that Caribbean nation, Camilo Gonsalves, the Cuban president added that bilateral political ties are at a high level.
Díaz-Canel recognized the role played by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and in particular by the Prime Minister, Ralph Gonsalves, as president pro tempore of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).
Likewise, he emphasized the need to continue advancing in compliance with the agreements adopted between both nations during his visit to that country at the end of last year, the Presidency of Cuba reported on its website.
Thank you for the opportunity of this meeting, said the Saint Vincentian minister, who considered that it is always an inspiration to come to Cuba and experience the resilience, creativity and talent of the Cuban people.
Camilo Gonsalves visits Cuba in the context of the XXXIX edition of the Havana International Fair Fihav 2023, which will run until November 11, with the participation of more than 800 companies from the five continents.
Fihav constitutes the main commercial exchange in Cuba, and has the purpose of expanding and consolidating its economic and commercial relations in multiple sectors and with various countries. (PL) (Photo: Archive)
