Cuba, cantata for free Palestine, Miguel Díaz-Canel, voices, peace

Cuba sings to Palestine for peace

Havana, Nov 18.- A cantata for free Palestine, attended by Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, raised voices for peace.

At the feet of the Master, in the outdoor space of the José Martí Memorial, troubadours and poets offered songs for peace and for the sovereignty of the Arab nation, also in the presence of Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of Cuba.

On Friday night, Fidel Castro, leader of the Cuban Revolution, was heard denouncing the genocide against the Palestinian people.

Nancy Morejón, Waldo Leyva, Miguel Barnet and Corina Mestre evoked life, and remembered in verses how that country is a victim of eviction and persecution by Zionism.

Together with Akram Samhan, Palestinian ambassador to Cuba, some 150 Palestinian students who previously attended a meeting with Díaz-Canel, received the solidarity of Cubans in the emotional cantata.

The chords of the guitars of Augusto Blanca, Eduardo Sosa, Marta Campos and Ariel Díaz, among other troubadours, filled the night, under the aegis of a fair, independentist and anti-imperialist Martí. (ACN) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
