Camagüey, 2 Feb.- The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez congratulated "to the people of Camagüey, proud sons of the Villa of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe that today is celebrating the 510 years of its foundation".
In his social network account X, the Head of State invited to celebrate "the privilege of living in that beautiful city", while exhorting to take care of it and continue working for its development, and accompanied his message with the hashtag #GenteQueSuma.

Previously, the members of the Political Bureau Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee; Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic; and Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, greeted the anniversary of the princely town and conveyed a hug to the Agramotinos.
On the platform itself, Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee and first secretary in the province, expressed that “510 years later, pride in its legacy and values ??continues to define the inhabitants of a city whose transcendental mark on the “National history inspires and endures in new generations.”
