Russian Foreign Affairs Minister arrives in Cuba


Havana, February 19.- Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, arrived today in this capital to begin a working visit where he will hold meetings with Cuban authorities.

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Lavrov arrived at the José Martí international airport this morning, beginning a tour of Latin America.

“ Moscow and Havana are united in their desire to move towards the construction of a more just multipolar world order,” added the Eurasian nation's body on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

As reported by the Foreign Ministries of both nations, Lavrov will meet with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.

Among the issues to be addressed are the most pressing issues on the global and regional agenda, as well as different aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the economic-commercial and humanitarian-cultural spheres, indicated the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
