Hamas consideres truce proposal with ceasefire


 

Havana, February 27.- The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas is studying a proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip as a result of talks between international negotiators in Paris and which includes a 40-day ceasefire and the exchange of Palestinian prisoners.

During this time, hospitals and bakeries in the besieged territory would be repaired, as well as 500 trucks of humanitarian aid would enter each day with tents to house the displaced.

Likewise, the agreement establishes that Hamas will release 40 Israeli hostages, while the Hebrew country will release some 400 Palestinian prisoners.

The leader of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and the delegation that accompanied him concluded their visit to Cairo last Friday, after days of negotiations with the head of Egyptian Intelligence, Abbas Kamel, and with the US advisor for the Middle East, Brett McGurk, in order to reach a truce in Gaza.

Subsequently, a meeting was held in Paris, France, between the head of the intelligence services of the United States, William Joseph Burns, that of Israel, David Barnea, and of Egypt, Abbass Kamel, as well as the prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to reach an agreement.
