Venezuela demands exclusion of Cuba from the illegitimate US list (+ Photo)


Caracas, March 4.- The participants in the XIII Venezuela-Cuba National Meeting of Mutual Solidarity demanded the immediate exclusion of Cuba from the illegitimate list of States sponsoring terrorism, it was revealed here today in a statement.

The final document approved by more than 120 delegates from 15 Bolivarian and international states, from Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Curacao, Honduras, Panama and Puerto Rico, described this measure as “unilateral, illegal, immoral” and without any justification.

The meeting was held on the 1st. and March 2 and called for mobilization and coordination in defense of the Cuban Revolution, and to carry out actions on the five continents so that the United States Government puts an end to the “intensified economic, commercial and financial blockade”, the main obstacle to development. and well-being of the Cuban people.

The text noted that “sister Cuba and her people” have endured this imperial policy for more than 60 years, with hundreds of measures against them, extraterritorial laws that seek to sanction governments and people around the world.

He stressed that this economic siege continued with the “infamous inclusion” of the island in an alleged list of collaborators with terrorism.

The delegates agreed to provide “unrestricted support for the courageous continuity” of Presidents Miguel Díaz-Canel at the head of the Cuban Revolution, and of Nicolás Maduro, in leading the Bolivarian Revolution.

They called both leaders “unequivocal symbols” that people who fight and resist tenaciously are destined for victory.

They also proposed installing the Revolution in Three Times Chair, dedicated to (Simón) Bolívar and (José) Martí, (Hugo) Chávez and Fidel (Castro) and Maduro and Díaz-Canel, in academic institutions with a view to strengthening the study of thought and revolutionary work of the precursors.

They also agreed to contribute to the dissemination of the VIII International Seminar on Peace and for the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases, which will take place in the province of Guantánamo, in eastern Cuba, on May 4 and 5 of this year. .

The participants in the XIII Meeting agreed to promote a Parliamentary Working Group to reaffirm the struggle of our peoples against the “interference of the United States in the internal affairs of Latin American and Caribbean nations,” as well as the just causes of humanity.

The two-day meeting also served to raise our voices and denounce the “continued massacre and massive violation” of the human rights of the Palestinian people, by the genocidal government of the Zionist State of Israel.

He also reaffirmed the “unwavering will” to continue supporting in solidarity the heroic Cuban people and their revolutionary government, as well as the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace. (Text and photos: PL)
