Young Communists of Cuba prepare their XII Congress


Havana, March 27.- The members of the Union of Young Communists of Cuba (UJC) are getting ready today to celebrate the XII Congress of the organization, scheduled to be held from April 2 to 4.

As a prelude to the event, delegates and guests to the forum will meet with authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and provincial governments to learn in depth about the economic and social strategy of their territories.

They will also take tours of production centers and services to learn, once again, about the worries and concerns of those they will represent at the conclave, reported an article in the newspaper Juventud Rebelde.

The great event was preceded throughout the country by an organic process with the purpose of perfecting the organization that assumes the commitment to be the youth vanguard of Cuban society and continuity of its socialist social project.

Some 400 delegates and around a hundred guests will attend the event, which according to the source, are a reflection of current Cuban society and an expression of the main transformations that the nation is experiencing.
