Havana, April 10.-The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, today congratulated the Cuban Ranger Corps on its 65th anniversary.
Born from the Rebel Army and heirs of the traditions of our mambises, the Cuban Ranger Corps celebrates its 65th anniversary today, declared the president on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
On the same platform, the work of these workers in defense of the Nation's natural heritage in every corner of the national geography was highlighted.

Regarding the date, the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) congratulated the forest rangers whom it described as guardians of nature, security and order in the most intricate places in the country.
“Congratulations to all the country's rangers who celebrate their 65th birthday today, as guardians of nature, security and order in the most intricate places throughout #Cuba,” the MININT published in X.
The organization emerged on April 10, 1959 with the approval of Law number 239, known as the “Forest Repopulation Plan by the Rebel Army”, so that at the same time as the Agrarian Reform the idea of populate Cuba with trees.
The fundamental purpose of said organization is the recovery, conservation, promotion and use of the country's renewable natural resources, protecting the mountains; repopulating forest soils and organizing them as permanent sources of raw materials and stable work, for the benefit of the economy and general progress of the nation.
