Alliances in Cuba to strengthen the automotive fleet for health and tourism

Havana, April 17.- The company MCV Comercial SA, authorized distributor of Mercedes Benz in Cuba, will provide new forms in vehicle leasing schemes and after-sales services to key sectors such as Health and tourism.

Alberto Ramos Miranda, head of Transportation Operations at MCV Comercial, explained to Granma that, in the case of ambulances, this is a pilot test, based on the alliance between this entity, Servisap, of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), and the sium in the capital.

The initial project includes, so far, about 15 ambulances for Havana and, based on the results, it can be extended, either with more equipment or to other territories in the country.

Ramos Miranda highlighted that MCV Comercial will provide, in addition to the vehicles, all after-sales services, fleet management and drivers; while MINSAP will provide medical coverage.

He expressed that, with the signing of the letters of intent at the last International Transportation and Logistics Fair, a management committee was created in charge of developing all actions for the preparation of services, although the start date depends on the import. of the media.

On the other hand, he highlighted that the other two agreements are related to the tourism scheme linked to the National Bus Company for the transportation of that segment of clients through Viazul, with the provision of a group of vehicles.

The other, he said, aims to create strategic alliances with TaxisCuba, which will improve the coverage of the taxi system in the country.

In the three projects, MCV Comercial will be the one to provide the transportation equipment, in addition to the repair and spare parts for the sustainability of the park. (Granma) (Photo: PL/Archive)
