Ciego de Ávila, April 27.- Nautical activities are today a great strength in the tourist destination Jardines del Rey, in the north of this central province, a recreational option that will be promoted by the International Tourism Fair, FITCuba-2024.
A renewed image of the maritime options will be appreciated by those attending the largest tourist exchange in the country, which will take place in the northern spa region of Ciego de Ávila, from May 2 to 5.
The subdelegate of the Ministry of Tourism in the territory, Yoleidy Sosa, pointed out that visitors who come to the keys in northern Ciego de Avila are attracted to nautical sports, the conditions and infrastructure of the place.
She stated that the tourist region has two marinas, Marlin, in Cayo Guillermo, and Gaviota, in Cayo Coco, international diving centers, two kitesurfing schools, equipment for boat excursions and nautical points in the 28 hotel facilities.
Open to the old channel of the Bahamas, a corridor of marine species, the Coco, Guillermo Paredón Grande and Antón Chico keys are a stronghold for nautical activities, due to their beautiful seabed and clean and transparent beaches, suitable for diving, snorkelling, deep-sea and fly fishing and other nautical fun.
The existence of more than 30 diving points in areas where colorful fish abound and under preservation conditions, encourage contemplative diving.
With more than 20 years of creation, the Boat Adventure excursion stands out, a boat ride driven by the tourist himself through a labyrinth of natural channels among mangroves in the south of Cayo Guillermo, an opportunity to practice snorkelling in an attractive natural area, of extreme beauty.
Seafaris, catamaran rides, sunsets on a boat, excursions to Cayo Media Luna, a small islet located in front of Playa Pilar, bathing and interaction with dolphins in two centers enabled for this, are other options for enjoyment.
Likewise, the natural environment and the pleasant climate throughout the year offer visitors the possibility of practicing kitesurfing, an extreme sport that consists of sliding over the sea with the use of a kite.
Jardines del Rey is considered today in Cuba as an excellent sun and beach destination due to its charming and attractive well-preserved natural environment, the quality of services and the cozy hotel facilities and recreational centers.
Showing these conditions is one of the purposes of FITCuba-2024, a fair dedicated to Latin America and the Caribbean, which will be attended by renowned personalities from the tourism sector, hoteliers, travel agents, airlines, tour operators and press from around the world.
