Prime Minister of Cuba at the opening of the International Tourism Fair


Havana, May 2.- The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, attended today the inauguration of the 42nd International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2024) dedicated this year to Latin America.

The event, scheduled until May 5, is held at the destination in the central Cuban province of Ciego de Ávila called Jardines del Rey, and is attended by more than 670 professionals from different countries and 80 specialized journalists.

The most representative markets present are Spain and Mexico, which have more than 100 attendees, followed by Colombia, Italy and Canada.

Also present at the meeting is the regional director for the Americas of UN Tourism, Gustavo Santos, who days before considered the Cuban reality in the travel industry as positive in an interview with Prensa Latina.

FITCuba 2024 takes place a few days before the 69th meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Americas, a space attended by 24 Ministers of Tourism from the member countries. (PL) (Photo: ACN)
