Camagüey, July 31 - The Carlos Manuel de Céspedes sugar industry in the municipality of the same name in Camagüey is the collective that will produce sugar for the family basket in the province during the next harvest, a productive commitment that consolidates its first step with the completion of the technical standard, a fundamental stage in the preparations.

The engineer Ibrain Guzmán Gómez, administrator of the above mentioned collective, pointed out that the technical standard has as its main objective the cleaning, dismantling, conservation and diagnosis, aspects on which work is already underway.

With a completion date of 30 working days, a continued repair is foreseen here, with greater emphasis on the mill and boiler house areas, for which the labor force is available and some resources have been received.

There has been a slight delay to date, caused mainly by the situation with the water supply to the industry, a problem that caused the greatest industrial downtime in the last harvest, and therefore the company is working together with Water Resources in search of a prompt solution.

Of the 15 industries in the country selected for sugar production in the coming harvest, the plant has planned to produce sugar in the province of Camagüey with a plan of 23 thousand tons.

The commitment of men and women of the sector is to revert the deficiencies with a quality repair to make a campaign of superior results in the effort to retake the qualification of Camagüey's clock, pride of its inhabitants. (Text and photo: Zenia Donet García/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
