Camagüey Urban Farm will guarantee vegetables for the end of the year

Camagüey, Dec. 25. - The Urban Farming Base Business Unit of this municipality will guarantee the fresh vegetables and condiments that the population needs during the festivities for the new anniversary of the Revolution.

The above was stated by Idael Bencosme Ramírez, the highest representative of that entity, who added that for this they have 41 organoponics with different products highly coveted by the people.

He said that 70 percent of the units located in the city center are planted with lettuce and the rest with other varieties such as tomatoes, chard, carrots, spinach and beets, among others.

The 130 workers of the aforementioned collective strive daily to face the lack of resources and the lack of electricity, in addition to the application of science and technology.
