Havana, Feb 7th. - The thermoelectric power plant (CTE) Lidio Ramón Pérez, of Felton, in Mayarí, Holguín, today synchronized the national electricity system (SEN), reported the Electrical Union (UNE).
The post, on the social network Facebook, states that the CTE has been online since 10:54 this morning.
On January 30, this industry began a scheduled maintenance in block one, aimed at normalizing operational parameters.
Eric Milanés Quinzán, CEO, then confirmed to the Cuban News Agency that, among the main actions to be carried out would be the cleaning of the air heaters in boilers, the capacitor and the review of two chumaces in the turbine.
The work, he said, was planned to increase the power of the block in order to reach an availability of 220 megawatts (MW), after more than 80 days in line with the SEN.
The CTE, known as Felton, opened on 5 January 2001, and has two thermal generation units, although one of them suffered a fire in the boiler after a capitalized partial repair that sought to incorporate the SEN 240 MW in the summer of 2022.
