Cienfuegos Thermoelectric Units looking good

Cienfuegos, Feb 19^th. - Maintenance actions to the two units of the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes thermoelectric plant, in the province of Cienfuegos, march as planned and the necessary material resources are available.

Juan Bravo Núñez, technical director of the generating plant, stressed that in block three, the work planned before the breakdown of last October 18^th, are practically completed, especially in the boiler, The European Commission has published a report on the European Union’s work in this field.

Bravo Núñez added that in unit four the work in the turbine continues where they undertake a light reparation, and in the boiler, with repairs of greater magnification, although it advances according to schedule.

Already in that block the final touches are given to start the assembly of the serpentines -manufactured in Cuba some time ago -while they undertake jobs in the condenser.

The manager emphasized that the three routes of unit four: turbine, boiler and generator march well so far.
