China at FITCuba 2025, tourism hand in hand with culture

Havana, April 28 – The grounds of the Morro-Cabaña military historical park, with its spectacular views of Havana, will be the headquarters of the FITCuba 2025 International Tourism Fair from Wednesday to Saturday.

The People's Republic of China, guest of honor, will be represented by an official delegation from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and a large presence of exhibitors, companies from multiple categories and regions, travel agencies and platforms.

Xan Lixin, counselor for Cultural Affairs and Tourism at the Chinese embassy in Cuba, told Radio Reloj that, in addition to showing the results of bilateral cooperation, resources for new products and destinations aimed at different audiences will be explored.

She emphasized that direct flights between Beijing and Havana with Air China and visa-free entry for Chinese citizens are practical measures that further favor exchanges.

Twenty-seven thousand visited Cuba last year, which represented a year-on-year increase of 50 percent and indicates a solid upward trend, highlighted Xan Lixin, an official at the Chinese embassy in Havana.

The counselor of Cultural and Tourist Affairs of the diplomatic headquarters told Radio Reloj that her people have a special feeling of brotherhood towards Cuba, with the attraction of its World Heritage sites, beautiful beaches, an exciting culture and a legendary revolutionary process.

She emphasized that her country insists on using culture to shape tourism for development, and that this concept will be reflected in the Chinese pavilions at La Cabaña, the venue for FITCuba 2025.

She also highlighted the participation of musicians from the China National Symphony Orchestra and other artists in a show that will integrate culture and tourism, tradition and modernity. (Text and photo: Radio Reloj)
