Poland and China to host Volleyball Nations League Finals


Poland, Feb 21st. - Poland and China were announced as hosts of the final rounds of the 2025 Volleyball Nations League in the women's and men's genders.

In the Atlas Arena in the European city of Lódz will take place the event for ladies from 23 to 27 July, and at the Ningbo Beilun Sports and Artistic Center in Ningbo, Ningbo, will take place the male version from 30 of that month to 3 August, as published by the website of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Lódz's choice as the venue for the closure of women is a testament to Poland's history as the international power of this sport, with its passionate hobby and solid results.

Poland also has an exceptional track record in organizing major international events, including the 2024 League of Nations (VNL) men's grand final, supports the FIVB.

Remember that in last year's VNL it broke world records, with a remarkable 13 percent growth in attendance since 2023, a cumulative audience of 46 million in Poland who tuned in to see the fair thanks to 409 hours of live transmission on the Polsat network.

The women's VNL match between Poland and Germany was the channel's second most important sports program in 2024, indicating that, with a renewed competition in 2025, the stage is ready for another tournament that will break records, says the FIVB on its digital portal.

For its part, this contest returns to China in 2025 with the antecedent of having hosted two stages of the women's VNL last year.

The Asian giant achieved exceptional audience figures, making it one of the most important sporting events of the year in the country. There were 268 million viewers with 168 hours of live broadcast on China's Central Television (CCTV).

In addition, the fair was the second most significant sports broadcast in that country in 2024, with a maximum audience of 23.6 million. Having hosted continental competitions and qualifying rounds for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Ningbo will no doubt offer another high-carat show in this edition.

With its expanded format, intensified competition and new opportunities for more nations, the 2025 League of Nations promises to be the most exciting edition so far, starring the best teams in the world in both sexes.

Cuba qualified the male leaderboard in the first week and will face Slovenia, Brazil, Ukraine and the United States in Rio de Janeiro on 11, 12, 13 and 15 June, on that order, with a rest day on June 14.

The team will return to Havana, from where it will travel to the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, home to the second stage, where they will have nets through the casts of Germany (25 June), the host country (26), the Netherlands (27) and Argentina (29).

With a departure from the island again, the team will compete in the Polish city of Gdansk against Bulgaria (16 July), Poland (17) and France (18), to close against China (20) the regular phase. (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
