This was declared exclusively to Prensa Latina by Cuban Vice Minister of Tourism Yamily Aldama, who heads a delegation made up of 17 people representing Cuban companies and international hotel chains operating in the Caribbean nation.

“The fundamental objective is to achieve a greater number of visitors to the island, not only from Colombia, but from all the participants in the event such as Peru, Brazil and other countries in the area, and based on the air connectivity facilities that are already in place with the Colombian airline Avianca, to try to consolidate the sustainability of this operation,” she said.

She added that each of the Cuban travel agencies present will present their proposals and that many of these initiatives promote activities related to academic and cultural tourism, as well as the design of new circuit proposals.

The first of these offers, as she explained, is currently very feasible due to the existence of appropriate infrastructure on the island, where there are also professionals with recognized experience.

Aldama also announced that on March 8, an internal flight to eastern Cuba will be inaugurated by the Cubatur travel agency, which will facilitate access to this region rich in natural and artistic attractions.

She stressed that the Cuban delegation will seek to deepen business with Latin American markets and will also emphasize the promotion of Cuban culinary culture through the dissemination of the facilities provided by the country's gastronomic department, as well as with the rest of the existing potential for the practice of tourism.
