Railway Museum of Camagüey adopts alternatives to the energy situation

Camaguey, Mar 5^th. - The Railway Museum of Camagüey implements new alternatives for the development of its cultural activities in the face of the electro energetic complexities that the country is going through.

Currently the specialists leave with their initiatives around the facility, with the aim of attracting in passing-by people with the proposals and generating a space for all audiences, focused on leisure and knowledge about the history of the railway in the region.

With the same characteristics, they maintain the development of activities involving children from nearby schools and also make use of the steam area, outdoor space belonging to the institution.

The director of the Museum, María Cristina Portuondo Méndez, points out that among the most novel proposals show visitors the real functioning of the trains with the visits to the courtyard of the railways of Camagüey.

Given the lack of availability of electricity in the province, the Railway Museum transforms its usual activities with the aim of not stopping its work, since the main exhibition of the institution depends almost entirely on the electrical fluid.
