Camagüey, Mar 8th. - The Federation of Culinary Associations of the Republic of Cuba (FACRC) granted Camagüey the first provincial place, for its comprehensive results of 2024.
The recent 43rd National Plenary of the entity, held in Havana, took into account for this evaluation the professional and technical improvement of the cooks, the care of the municipalities, the self-financing of membership, as well as the optimal use of the social houses and their offers.
The Culinary Association of Camaguey (ACC) currently has 1 595 members, who work in restaurants, cafes, social dining rooms and hotels in all Agrarian territories, especially the provincial capital and tourist poles of the beaches of Santa Lucía and Cayo Cruz.
Over the past year, 61 courses of different types and categories were taught in the ACC, including the third level for deputy chef, which was not offered here since 2020.
Such an action of overcoming is of great importance, since it constitutes the prelude to the international chef course, which traditionally the Camagueyans receive in the sister province of Ciego de Ávila, endorsed by the World Association of Chef Societies, in English: World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS),
