Homeland International Colloquium ends


Havana, Mar 19th. - The IV Homeland International Colloquium that brings together about 400 delegates from almost 50 countries concludes today in this capital after three days of debates on the impact of technology in the communication field.

As part of this Wednesday's agenda, the conference highlights the conference "Reprogramming the network: media strategies to mitigate polarization and hate speech in digital environments," by speakers from Brazil Spain and Venezuela.

Communicators and journalists from the land of Bolivar, Argentina and Bolivia will also talk about the theme "Technologies for emancipation: alternative communication and informational sovereignty in the Global South."

The event, which is hosted by the University of Havana, will also discuss forms of media counter hegemony, as well as the strategies of developing countries in the face of the Western's information domain.

According to the organizers, four other presentations will complete the extensive program of presentations of the event that will conclude with a Final Declaration on the need for greater articulation of the counter-hegemonic media of the world.

The day before, among the almost dozen panels and conferences in Homeland, he highlighted the Venezuelan proposal of a manual against media war to digital manipulation and the cultural battle of the 21st century. Conceived under the strategic vision of the president of that nation, Nicolas Maduro, the method brings forms of organization of the revolutionary forces to solve the challenges facing the peoples of the Latin American and Caribbean region.
