Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister arrives in Senegal on an official visit


Havana, March 21st. - Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodríguez arrived in Senegal for an official visit, where he will meet with senior government and state officials.

The head of the Caribbean nation's diplomacy was received at Blaise Diagne International Airport by Senegalese Foreign Ministry officials Ousmane Camara and Christian Assogba, who welcomed him and wished him a successful stay in the country, according to the Cuban Embassy here.

The program in this capital includes official talks with his Senegalese counterpart, Yassine Fall, as well as a meeting with members of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity between the Peoples of Senegal and Cuba (AseneCuba), among other activities.

Rodríguez will be accompanied throughout his visit by Cuban Ambassador Maydolis Sosa and the Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa Department of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Luis Alberto Amorós, among other officials.

Senegal is the final stop on a tour of African countries that began in South Africa last week and included Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and Ghana. The tour is focused on strengthening the Caribbean nation's historic ties with the African continent. (Text and photo: PL)
