Reconstructive work being carried out at ice plant of a Santa Cruz fishing company

Santa Cruz del Sur, Camagüey, April 12th  - The construction maintenance brigade of the Southern Industrial Fishing Company (EPISUR) Algérico Lara Correa is carrying out remodeling work at the state's ice plant.

Elio Pausa Bello, head of the collective, explained that three new doors will be installed in this area. Additionally, the walls will be improved with plastering and a fine finish with a sand and cement mixture, followed by the application of paint to ensure a proper finish.

New doors will soon be installed in cold storage chambers seven and eight, as well as in the industry's freezing tunnels. This work is being carried out under strict control, ensuring quality and the proper use of available resources.

Pausa Bello emphasized that the materials used came from the warehouse, following a work order that allows their use in this remodeling, which is expected to be completed in honor of Fisherman's Day, which will be celebrated at EPISUR this Thursday.

With these renovations, EPISUR not only seeks to optimize its infrastructure but also reaffirm its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the fishing sector. Every detail of the renovation is designed to improve operational efficiency and, in turn, offer a safer and more modern work environment for employees.

Thus, each block of ice that leaves this plant will be a testament to the effort and dedication of those working behind the scenes, ready to face new challenges. (Text and photo: Raúl Reyes Rodríguez/Radio Santa Cruz)
