Camagüey, April 18. - A new link to its chain of success has just incorporated the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC, for its acronym in Spanish) La Unión, by receiving the status of National Vanguard for its comprehensive results in 2024.
The diploma that accredits it as such was received by Ángel Luis Ortega and Reinerio Ramírez, president and secretary of the union section of that UBPC, respectively, from the hands of Fidencia Juan Martínez, general secretary of the Union of Agricultural, Forestry and Tobacco Workers in the province.
This is supported by the overfulfillment of their milk and meat delivery plans to the industries, in addition to achieving a birth rate above 70 percent, mortality of 3.8 and profits of more than seven million pesos.
The meeting was an opportunity to award the Marcos Martí Distinction to outstanding workers and recognition for their excellent performance to the Micro Seis and Micro Siete dairies, the latter of which contributes more than 30% of the cooperative's total production.
Amado Maceda Valladares, general director of Triángulo Tres, considered this productive base to be the company's best, due to the results and cohesion of the collective, which is part of the Millionaire Milk Contribution Movement based on the efficiency with which it works.
It is worth noting that in addition to the status of National Vanguard for eleven consecutive occasions, the UBPC La Unión adds other decorations such as the Jesús Menéndez Medal and the Lázaro Peña Order, among other incentives.
