Ranking, Cuba, taekwondo, Pan American Junior Games of Asunción 2025

Three Cuban taekwondists will be in Asunción 2025 three

Havana, Apr 29th. -  Elianet María Crespo, Anaicel Leóny Yoikel Daniel Goicochea received ranking by ranking and will represent Cuba in the taekwondo of the Pan American Junior Games of Asunción 2025.

The information was ratified by the Americas Taekwondo to Iván Fernández Quirós, seventh Dan and president of the Cuban federation of this sport.

Holguín-born María will arrive at the meeting with a privileged status in the category of 67 kg. He ranks third in the continental rankings and has shown a constant evolution in each fight.

For the Havana-born Yoikel Daniel, at 80 kg, the greatest strength could be his style of fight, in which he combines power and a lot of intelligence for attacks. He currently ranks fifth in the ranking of his category.

Seventh on the 67 kg ladder, Pinar del Río-born Anaicel also notes in favor its proven progression in terms of more recent results.

The Cuban bet is no coincidence. Over the past few years, the island's taekwondo has been able to reinvent itself, with generations that have been climbing positions and consolidating a competitive style.

Fernández Quirós does not hide it: the process has been demanding and athletes have faced rigorous preparation to arrive in full conditions.

Cuban taekwondo has always been synonymous with dedication, discipline and respect for combat. These young people are a reflection of this identity, said the manager, convinced that the national trio will fight in Asunción 2025. (Text and photo: JIT)
