Camagüey promotes soil conservation actions and improvement in productive areas

Camagüey, 16 may. - In the municipality, work is being done to comply with the program of environmental actions that contribute to the circular economy, climate change adaptation measures and increase resilience.

To this end, the innovative system for declaring hectares under a sustainable land management approach and applying good agricultural practices to increase food productivity and quality is being implemented.

Conservation and soil improvement measures are also being implemented in different areas of the demarcation, such as La Victoria production center and the farms on the green belt of the city belonging to the companies Agroindustrial Camagüey and Triángulo Tres.

Significant results are already being achieved in the municipality through the recycling of solid waste and its reuse for the manufacture and application of organic fertilizers.
