Camagüey, July 9.—The collective of the Provincial Company of Local Industries of Camagüey was the first of the industrial union to receive the Centro Listo (Ready Center) status in commemoration of July 26th, due to its outstanding results in union emulation during the celebration of the Moncada ephemeris.
Neyda Verdecia Tamayo, director of the entity, emphasized that during this emulation stage, the entity stood out for its excellent care to workers. She also highlighted the strengthening of economic indicators and the initiatives that have boosted the functioning of the different areas.
The director expressed that this recognition represents a great commitment to her employees, as well as to the Communist Party of Cuba and the government. It also motivates them to continue contributing results that help increase productivity in a time of great challenges.
Niober Rodríguez Díaz, general secretary of the Provincial Union of Industrial Workers (SPTI, for its acronym in Spanish), stated that this status will be awarded to other groups in the sector as part of a broad program of activities planned for July and August.
In addition to the celebrations for July 26, on this occasion are added other motivations such as recreational and leisure activities typical of summer, as well as commemorative events for the 99th anniversary of the birth of the Commander-in-Chief and the Accountability of the Government to the Cuban Parliament.
The union leader emphasized that days will be dedicated to voluntary and productive work, sanitation and beautification activities in labor centers, sports and cultural events, as well as visits to museums and historical sites. (Text and photo: Gleibis Gómez Durvas/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
