University of Camagüey focuses economy of Argentina and Angola

Camagüey, Jun 12th. - The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte highlighted in its Internationalization Fair the economic links of Cuba with Angola and Argentina, during a space organized by the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences.

At the Scientific Film, academics and students analyzed the economic models of both nations and their relationship with the island, in a debate that included experiences of entrepreneurs in Tourism and Agriculture.

Marcelo Iván Taboada, Argentine student of Economics, explained about the geographical, demographic and cultural characteristics of his country, in addition to his main productive activities.

Professor Betsabel Fuentes, for her part, addressed the key sectors of Angola, such as Mining, Oil and Agriculture, highlighting the role of women in the labour force of that African country.

The Fair, dedicated this year to Argentina and Angola, promotes academic and cultural exchange as part of its sixth edition under the concept of "internationalization at home."

With activities organized by various faculties, the event strengthens ties between Cuba and other nations, promoting the analysis of global economic realities from a university perspective.

The meeting also served to socialize entrepreneurship experiences, highlighting successful cases in strategic sectors such as tourism and agriculture.

The initiative is part of an annual programme that includes workshops, conferences and presentations with student and teaching prominence.

The University of Camaguey thus consolidates its international projection, bringing the university community closer to diverse economic contexts.

The meeting concluded with a call to deepen comparative studies and strengthen academic cooperation between Cuba, Africa and Latin America. (PL) (Photo: Internet taken)
