Cuba remembers Kim Il Sung on the anniversary of his physical departure


Havana, 8 Jul.- Cuban authorities today remembered the founder of the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Il Sung, on the 31st anniversary of his death.

The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, highlighted his merits as the founder of the Workers' Party on the social network X and reiterated the "invariable friendship and solidarity that unites the parties, governments, and peoples of both countries."

For his part, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez affirmed that we and the DPRK share historic ties of cooperation, which we will continue to strengthen.

Kim Il Sung was the creator of the Juche ideology and supreme leader of the DPRK from its founding until his death on July 8, 1994. Under his leadership, the country established itself as a socialist state with a centrally planned economy. (Text and photo: PL)
