Work is being done on the rehabilitation of the road to Playa Florida

Florida, Camagüey, July 16. -The more than 40 kilometers of road from the municipal capital to the coastal town of Playa Florida are currently undergoing major patching and rehabilitation work, thanks to the joint efforts of various local agencies and entities.

According to information provided by sources from the Municipal Administration Council, the repairs are currently focused on the most deteriorated sections of the road, seeking to improve access and provide safe passage for vehicles transporting passengers and goods.

At the close of the third day of work, more than 600 cubic meters of rock material extracted from the La Porfuerza quarries had been deposited on the ground, which implies journeys exceeding 20 kilometres and a strong demand for fuels and lubricants.

However, the focus of the municipality's highest authorities remains on two fundamental tasks: improving the quality of life for those living in the Playa Florida riverside community and facilitating the movement of vacationers to the popular coastal area during the months of July and August.

The rehabilitation of the road to La Playa, in the municipality of Florida, is a joint mission led by the Communist Party of Cuba and the local government, with the support of state-owned enterprises, cooperatives, self-employed workers, and MSMEs from the private sector.
