Several Florida labor groups support anti-vector campaign against Aedes aegypti

Florida, Camagüey, August 12.- Several labor groups in the municipality of Florida are supporting the workers of the local Anti-Vector Campaign in the fight against the Aedes aegyptis mosquito, according to Karel Mesa, head of the program in the territory.

Among them are workers from the Sports, Commerce, Gastronomy, and Services sectors, as well as those from the 60th Anniversary Company, who are working on adulticide treatment.

The head of the Anti-vector Control Campaign in the municipality acknowledged the efforts of the young members of the Youth Labor Army Brigade, who support this activity by visiting and inspecting homes in the territory.

With the intersectoral support and cooperation of the Florida’s people in the development of the household self-assessment efforts at their homes, we are working to win the battle against the mosquito Aedes Aegyptis, a vector of dengue, Sika and other diseases.
