Florida, Camagüey, August 13.- The members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution in the municipality of Florida celebrate the 99th birthday of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, this August 13, with the commitment to remain, like Raúl, with the foot in the stirrup and faithful to the legacy of their historic leader.

Veterans of the Rebel Army and the Clandestine Struggle, combatants of Playa Girón and of the feats of internationalism and collaboration in several parts of the world reaffirmed their willingness to accompany the people in each of the new battles for the independence and sovereignty of the homeland, protected by the concept of Revolution expressed by Fidel on May 1, 2000.

According to the opinions expressed by many of them in various forums and spaces for analysis and reflection, Fidel's political testament constitutes a supreme guide for facing the challenges of the present and continuing united in building a better society, with justice and the safeguarding of humanism and the rights won as our main motto.

On the 99th anniversary of the birth of the eternal Commander in Chief and historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, his comrades in struggle and the new members of the Association of Combatants remember him with the same slogan that transcends him into immortality: Homeland or Death, We Shall Win!
