Camagüey, August 18 - The University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey hosted the second edition of the Summer Camp 2025, sponsored by the Young Communist League (UJC) in commemoration of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
This edition was distinguished by visits to historic sites connected to the legacy of the leader of the Cuban Revolution in the region, emphasizing contributions to the comprehensive development and formation of young people.
Heinier Lian Carvajo Baxter, the first secretary of the UJC in the province, highlighted the cultural, sports, and historical activities integrated into these spaces, particularly the “Encounter with History,” which marked the beginning of the Fidel Route in Camagüey.
At the event, several local personalities who had the opportunity to interact with the Commander-in-Chief shared their experiences, and newcomers in the organization were recognized for their contributions, noted Carvajo Baxter.
In July, the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz University in Camagüey served as the venue for the summer camp, which promotes recreation based on values from an early age and strengthens the identity of being a young Cuban. (Digital newsroom with information from Televisión Camagüey)
