Camagüey, August 29 - The team at the Base Business Unit for School Transportation is finalizing the details to ensure the transportation of students and teachers to various educational centers for the 2025-2026 school year.
Izaura García Barreiro, the director of this entity, emphasized that they have a total of 32 buses. A shipment of tires has been received to enhance the availability of Yutong vehicles that will be used to transport students from the municipalities to different schools in the provincial capital.
In the coming days, additional tires are expected to arrive, ensuring the readiness of several Diana buses.
Transportation for students will begin on August 29 for those attending the Luis Casas Romero Vocational Art School, the Máximo Gómez Báez Vocational School, and the Cerro Pelado Sports Initiation School.
On August 30, students from provincial polytechnic schools and those from the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School will be received, while on the 31st, students from the Nicolás Guillén Pedagogical School will enter.
On September 1, transportation will begin for students heading to municipal internal centers, all from the usual pickup points; on the same date, transportation for teachers will also take place, as specified by the General Directorate of Education in Camagüey.
In the case of Santa Cruz del Sur, Guáimaro, Esmeralda, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes—territories facing technical availability challenges—support will be provided by the Provincial Transport Company. (Text and photo: Zenia Donet García/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
