Cuba evokes Julio Casas on the anniversary of his death

Havana, September 3. - Roberto Morales, the secretary of organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, commemorated today the 14th anniversary of the death of General Julio Casas.

"Hero in the War of Liberation and an example of organization and austerity in the struggle to build a new society," Morales wrote on the social network X.

Julio Casas Regueiro was a Hero of the Republic of Cuba and of Labor, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party and a Deputy to the Assembly of People's Power. He was also Vice President of the Council of State and Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Throughout his life he maintained a remarkable revolutionary trajectory, in which the struggle against the tyranny of Fulgencio Batista, his participation in the actions of the Movement 26-7 and countless merits in internationalist missions stand out.
