Agro-industrial Sugar Company achieves positive results in the planting of various crops

Florida, Camagüey, Sep 6 - The Ignacio Agramonte Agro-industrial Sugar Company achieved favorable results in the planting of various crops during the spring campaign, with more than 240 hectares reported at the end of August.

Even though perhaps more could have been done, in the midst of the lack of rain, the farmers of the aforementioned production system managed to surpass the proposed goals and added new plantations of rice, yucca, corn, banana, and squash that will contribute food in the final stretch of the year.

Among the productive bases that set the pace in the planting of various crops in the aforementioned entity during the last stage, the Basic Units of Cooperative Production (UBPC) Mártires de Florida and El Mambí stand out.

At the opposite extreme were the farmers of the Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) Manuel Pity Fajardo and the collective of the UBPC El Vaquerito, where the current call is to increase the pace in the cold period, take advantage of the meteorological benefits of the stage, and put the seed of security and agro-food sovereignty in the ground on time.
