Havana, September 22. - The Indian Film Festival in Cuba has concluded, a window to the culture of that country in the Caribbean nation, highlighted the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic, for its acronym in Spanish) on its Facebook page.
This Sunday, the films Queen and Papanasam were screened in the Riviera theater in the capital; Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was shown at the Charles Chaplin; while Manjhi and Tanu Weds Manu Returns were available at the Multicine Infanta.
The event offered a selection of films that showcase the diversity and quality of Indian cinema. It is an opportunity to learn about different genres and narratives specific to this industry, ICAIC emphasized.
In conjunction with the Indian Embassy in Havana, the Festival aimed to disseminate the cultural richness of that country with the presentation of 16 feature films ranging from historical epics, biographical dramas, romances, and social narratives.
With these and other proposals, the Indian film industry in Cuba and the collaboration between the two nations' film sectors are once again strengthened.
