66th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Celebrated

Havana, Dec. 23. – On the 66th anniversary of its founding, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (Minrex, for its acronym in Spanish) today reaffirmed that the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution will remain faithful to its principles.

In a post on X, on the occasion of the date celebrating the beginning of revolutionary diplomacy, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that being consistent with the heroic people it represents is its greatest honor and duty.

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted on the same social network the pride of having participated and continuing to participate in the defense and international projection of the Cuban Revolution.

"Congratulations to our people, the main protagonist of foreign policy," expressed Rodríguez Parrilla.

He also stressed that Cuban diplomats are pleased to be heirs to the legacy of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, to loyally follow the guidance of Army General Raúl Castro, and to work intensely under the leadership of President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The Minrex was established by Decree of the Revolutionary Government on December 23, 1959. This body replaced the Ministry of State, a dependency created during the first US occupation and designed to serve the interests of that country. (Source: ACN)
